Q: How important is it to you that your partner fulfill traditional gender roles? Would you like a woman who will cook, shop and keep house? Would you like a man who maintains the cars, manages the finances, and is handy around the house?

A:I want to be in a position where I am providing so well for my family that my wife can chose to be a house wife or pursue her own career and passions in a situation where we share home responsibilities. I can function well independently and I have the heart of a servant, so traditional gender roles are not a requirement for me. But, I'm not great with home responsibilities, so I can't say I'd be able to share 50/50. I'd like it if my wife took over at least 60~70% of the home and I plan to be an active part so I want to give at least 30~40%. lol, such solid numbers for such abstract descriptions... In my mind, I'd like to have a cooperation to where we're comfortable in asking each other for help with tasks or take care of something entirely with no recorded score or measurement of "I did this much... you should do this much..." and we just work together to be a family regardless of personal sacrifice yet holding each other accountable to participating and working together.
